Nunn died the morning of Dec. 24, according to a statement from the Ken Nunn Law Office, which announced his death on social media.
Born in Jeffersonville, Indiana, Nunn built a legal career that spanned nearly six decades. After earning a business degree and a law degree from Indiana University in 1967, he opened his own law practice the same year. Over time, he expanded the firm into one of Indiana’s largest personal injury practices, representing thousands of clients statewide.
Nunn became widely recognized through television advertising and community involvement, establishing himself as a familiar presence in Indiana’s legal landscape. Colleagues said his success was driven by persistence, a strong work ethic, and a focus on client advocacy.
He is survived by his daughter, Vicky Nunn, his son, David Nunn, and two grandchildren. The law firm said Vicky Nunn, who has worked at the practice since 2001, is expected to assume leadership of the firm.
In tributes, family members and colleagues described Nunn as deeply committed to his clients and community. The law office said it will continue operating statewide, carrying forward the legacy he built over his career.
